WORKSHOP - BAMBOO TECHNIQUES FOR
MIXED-MEDIA ART
Instructor: Carol Stangler
Integrate bamboo with your artistic media - wood, clay, fiber, paper – to enhance and energize your artwork. Focus will be on varied techniques of bamboo joinery and attachment. In the process, the basics of bamboo will be covered – harvesting, curing, cutting, splitting, sanding and finishing.

No experience necessary, class limited to 4 students.

WORKSHOP - BAMBOO CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES FOR THE GARDEN
Instructor: Carol Stangler
Learn how to use bamboo to make a variety of structures for the garden, from plant supports to arbors. Focus will be on design, planning, installation, and techniques of connecting – lashing, pegging, and joinery.  No experience necessary, class limited to 4 students.

WORKSHOP - BAMBOO FENCES & SCREENS
Instructor: Carol Stangler
Learn how to build bamboo fences and screens to compliment your garden or landscape. A wide range of traditional and contemporary bamboo styles will be covered. Focus will be on designing for purpose and stability; selecting appropriate bamboo; and cutting, splitting and attaching.

No experience necessary, class limited to 4 students.
