WORKSHOP - BAMBOO TECHNIQUES FOR
MIXED-MEDIA ART
Instructor: Carol Stangler
Integrate bamboo with your artistic media - wood, clay, fiber, paper to enhance and energize your artwork. Focus will be on varied techniques of bamboo joinery and attachment. In the process, the basics of bamboo will be covered harvesting, curing, cutting, splitting, sanding and finishing.
No experience necessary, class limited to 4 students.

WORKSHOP - BAMBOO CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES FOR THE GARDEN
Instructor: Carol Stangler
Learn how to use bamboo to make a variety of structures for the garden, from plant supports to arbors. Focus will be on design, planning, installation, and techniques of connecting lashing, pegging, and joinery. No experience necessary, class limited to 4 students.

Learn how to build bamboo fences and screens to compliment your garden or landscape. A wide range of traditional and contemporary bamboo styles will be covered. Focus will be on designing for purpose and stability; selecting appropriate bamboo; and cutting, splitting and attaching.
